Today, my friend Judith and I planned to check out Eataly, a huuuge Italian food emporium that opened fairly recently in the Pru, which neither of us had been to yet. After 45 minutes of taking the orange line to Back Bay, cutting through Copley Square, and making our way up Boylston, we walked around Eataly for <15 minutes and ended up traversing the city instead. Judith, whom I met playing alto sax in middle school, is an incredible photographer — she helped me figure out which camera to buy when I invested in my own last year, and she's taught (and inspired!) me a lot. So naturally cameras were involved in the making of this adventure. Here are just a few shots from City Hall Plaza, the North End, Faneuil Hall (WHERE THERE WAS A PROPOSAL), and Christopher Columbus Park.
In retrospect, I wish I had focused more on close-ups and people besides Judith, but oh well. It was just fun getting into the holiday spirit by seeing the city in such a festive glow. :)
Happy holidays, everyone!
