This break, I've been spending an unfortunate amount of time working on summer internship applications and chipping away at pre-departure readings. Naturally, this has brought me to my favorite study cafes (with free wifi!) in the city. Check em out below:
Fiore's Bakery (Jamaica Plain)
Super casual neighborhood place. Breakfast served all day and comes with a small coffee. Fills up around meal times and then empties out during off hours. Amazing for vegans (vegan menu). Tons of natural lighting, and windows overlooking Centre Street. All locals. Sandwiches come with warm roasted herbed potatoes and salad instead of french fries. Study in peace. Free coffee refills. Local advertisements posted by entry so you can see what's going on in the neighborhood. Also sweet snacks (cupcakes, muffins, scones). Everything under $9!
Caffe Nero (Theatre District)
Quirky aesthetic and vibes from the space, even though most people who go are super regular. Always packed; usually loud; kind of dark. Free water. Range of seating, from velvet couches to some booths and a few huge wooden tables that people share. Works as a study spot or a hang out spot. PRIME location from the orange, green, and red lines!! Part of a chain. Pricey.
Farmer Horse Coffee (South End)
Draws a friendly Berklee music crowd. People behind the counter learn your name and strike up conversation. Looks like an arts space, with murals on the windows and ceilings and customers' writing on the walls. Plays Ethiopian music. Mix of friends meeting up and people studying. Can be hard to get a seat. Relaxed. Hosts music and jazz events in the evenings! Everything under $8.
Short post today, but have been super happy spending my last few days in Boston in these go-to cafes and wanted to make note! Hope you enjoy. :)
